I am an American LaFrance Bell; I joined the Hereford Volunteer Fire Company in 1936 and served on the 1936 Dodge fire engine. In 1954 I was transferred and did a tour of duty on the 1954 Mack pumper. In 1971 I was reassigned and did my third tour on the 1971 International Oren pumper / tanker. In 1986 after 50 years of distinguished service warning the citizens of Baltimore County of an emergency I was retired and given a place of honor in the fire station
